Posted on 11.10.2018

Scholars and staff at Dixons Allerton Academy were once again celebrating fantastic A-Level exam results this year. Building on the successes of 2017, the Academy’s Year 13 scholars have recorded an unprecedented 100% overall pass-rate in all qualifications; 50% of all A-Level and Academic entries were A*-B grade.

The school achieved 51% of all vocational entries at Dist.*/Dist. and 100% pass rate in the new Technical Levels. The average points per subject has increased at A-Level from 25.8 to 32.3, nearly a full grade from last year, now a Grade C+, whilst the Vocational average grade remains exceptionally high at a Dist.

Lisa Dabrowski, Director of Post-16, said; “I am proud of the achievements of our scholars and staff, they have worked tirelessly to achieve these results. Our Post-16 scholars contribute to the life of the Academy and are frequently praised for their mature approach, teamwork and professionalism. Today is the reward for all their hard work, supported by families and the staff at the Academy. I would like to take this opportunity to wish them every success in their future.”

There were some exceptional achievements from some of our Year 13 scholars.

Gioia De Martino achieved an A in English, A in Italian, A in Sociology and a Dist.* in Performing Arts and is going to Cambridge University to read English.

Waqas Ahmed achieved A* in Biology, A in Mathematics and A in Physics and is going to Manchester University to read Dentistry.

Katerina Grabare achieved A* in Sociology, B in Russian and Finance and C in Psychology and is going to Leeds University to read  Psychology

Congratulations to these and all our scholars on their A-Level results this year. Their efforts were worth the final outcomes and we are certain that they will all secure their places at university or apprenticeships in the coming days.

Well done Class of 2018!
