Ian Radcliffe
Vice Principal: Curriculum
Having graduated from the University of Bradford in 2004 with a degree in French and Spanish before studying for an MA in Interpreting and Translating, Ian went on to work in the languages industry as a Project Manager, working for large international companies in Leeds and New York, and a translator. Ian is a passionate linguist who loves Spanish and Hispanic culture, as well as everything to do with France.
He began teaching in 2007 as a teacher of French and Spanish, completing the Graduate Teacher Programme at Belle Vue Girls’ School in Bradford. Before joining Dixons City Academy at Progress Leader for Spanish in April 2020, Ian taught MFL in five schools across Leeds and Bradford and has held a number of different leadership roles: Head of Department, Head of Faculty, Community Leader, Head of Year and Head of Key Stage.
He is a keen runner and can be found every Saturday morning at Park Run and is looking forward to completing his first half marathon next year,.
